In 1999, Maryellen St. Cyr founded Ambleside Schools International in Fredericksburg, Texas, to develop the Ambleside Method of education, rooted in Charlotte Mason’s philosophy. This approach emphasizes a vibrant, peaceful, and holistic learning experience.

Now Ambleside Schools International has 29 member schools.

In 2025, with commitment to following the Lord’s leading and the support of their church community, Dillon and Jamie Thornton and Kyle and Michelle Cullum founded Ambleside School of Faith Church, a member school of Ambleside Schools International.   

After more than 20 years involvement in education, the Thorntons and Cullums are honored to partner with Ambleside Schools International to provide a “living education” in Pinellas County. Ambleside School of Faith Church will open Fall 2026 providing kindergarten through second grade.  

Ambleside School of Faith Church is a mission of Faith Community Church in Seminole, Florida.
